FRSC Reacts To Rumours VP Is Involved In A Crash, Clarifies That He Rather Offered A Helping Hand In The Rescue Of A Crash Victim
The Federal Road Safety Corps has debunked the rumours going round that His Excellency, the Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo SAN, GCON was involved in a road crash on Monday on his way to the airport. The Corps wishes to state categorically clear that the Vice President only offered a helping hand to rescue the crash victim to the hospital.
The lone crash occured at Zamani Junction, on Bill Clinton Drive at exactly 1044am involving a Toyota Corolla saloon car with the following registration number, GWT842AA driven by Mr Umar Shuaibu.
The Vice President who was on that route manifested a great deal of humanitarian service by pulling over to help in rescuing the crash victim.
At the time of arrival of the FRSC rescue team barely 4 minutes after the crash, the driver was found alone in the vehicle with a reasonable degree of injury.
As a matter of urgency the victim was conveyed to Airforce base hospital with the Vice President’s Convoy Ambulance. The Vice President also promised to foot the bills for the crash victim.
Investigative report reveals that the crash which was serious occured as a result of excessive speed.
The Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi has therefore called on purveyors of fake news to desist from such and always confirm the veracity of crashes from the Federal Road Safety Corps before peddling disinformation in the information environment.
