Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed Appoints ACM Meshach Adigizi Jatau As Principal Staff Officer
In another positive development, Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed has approved the appointment of Assistant Corps Marshal Meshach Adigizi Jatau, fwc as the Principal Staff Officer to the Corps Marshal.
The appointment is part of Corps Marshal’s Strategic initiative towards repositioning the Corps for greater performance.
Until his assumption of duty, the newly appointed Principal Staff Officer was the Zonal Commanding Officer, RS4HQ Jos, He took over from Chidiebere Nkwonta, a Deputy Corps Marshal, who has been elevated and redeployed to oversee the affairs of the Training Department of the Corps.
Meshach Jatau, an Assistant Corps Marshal and a seasoned Officer is a fellow of the Army War College Nigeria (FWC); and, an alumnus of the Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA). He graduated from the University of Jos with a Masters Degree in Literature in English. He had earlier obtained from same University, a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language.
A two-time Sector Commander in Abia and Rivers State, one time Commandant, Marshal Inspectorate Training School Owa-Alero and also Director of Studies, FRSC Command and Staff College Udi, Enugu State; ACM Meshach Jatau attended several courses in line with his rank such as trainings in speech writing University of Ibadan in 1996, International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) 2013, Automobile and Environmental Safety Policy, Japan Automobile Research Institute.
An experienced and skilled communication and administration expert, and a thoroughly bred safety professional whose wealth of experience will surely advance the image of the Corps; ACM Jatau is an extremely passionate road safety expert with more than 3 decades of experience and has worked in various offices of the Corps where he held several commanding positions in different states of the Federation.
The new PSO attended quite a number of some of the most credible security, road safety and transportation courses both within and outside the shores of the country.
With this new appointment, the Corps Marshal has tasked the new Principal Staff Officer to bring his wealth of experience into the work place to foster a renewed sense of optimism in the Corps.
