FRSC and NESREA Join Forces To Tackle Vehicular Emissions, Promote Sustainable Environment
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) have entered into partnership to achieve the effective implementation of the National Vehicular Emission Control Programme.
This collaboration seeks to address the critical issue of air pollution caused by vehicular emissions, which has severe implications for human health and the environment. The partnership will leverage the expertise and resources of both agencies to ensure the successful implementation of the programme. It will also include incorporating environmental emission standards in FRSC training curriculum for drivers, so as to acquaint them with relevant knowledge of national emission standards.
In addition the joint collaboration will commence with public awareness creation on the indiscriminate use of ill-maintained vehicles and their environmental and health implications. While seeking to support the implementation of relevant national emission standards, the joint team will share intelligence and data on vehicular emissions in Nigeria.
The FRSC and NESREA are committed to working together to promote a sustainable environment and ensure the well-being of Nigerians. This partnership demonstrates our collective resolve to address the critical issue of air pollution and create a healthier, more sustainable future for our nation.
